Fieryzard was born and raised in southwest Puerto Rico and as a teen, like many Puerto Ricans living under US colonization, moved to the US mainland with family seeking improved living standards, thus becoming part of the pre-Maria diaspora. After a long struggle with their mental health, Fieryzard finally graduated in 2020 (SCAD, BFA in Illustration), becoming one among the first class to graduate during the early COVID-19 pandemic. Despite their schooling specializing in art for video games and the entertainment industry, the #MeToo movement and layoffs in the industry led Fieryzard down the independent artist path. Today, Fieryzard enjoys creating stories, illustrations, animations, and comics that touch on nature, colonialism, connection, romance and LGBTQ+ themes.
